Micki M. Hackenberger, President, for over 20 years has worked in numerous aspects of public policy development; this includes experience as a policy analyst, lobbyist, consultant and corporate executive. Prior to acquiring Axiom Strategies, she served as the Executive Vice President of Hays, Hays and Wilson, Colorado’s first contract lobbying firm. Micki was also the managing director of Qwest Communications, Colorado Public Affairs Division, where she managed all phases of government relations prior to joining the Hays, Hays and Wilson. She has served as Legislative Director for Colorado Counties, Inc. where she developed a comprehensive knowledge of local government in Colorado. Micki is an experienced effective advocate in numerous areas including technology, telecommunications, land use, transportation, agriculture, public lands, health and social services at both the state and local level.

Peggi O'Keefe, Executive Vice President, has lobbied at the State Capitol since 2000 where she has successfully worked on a broad range of issues including business, healthcare, financial, transportation, telecommunications and land use. Prior to lobbying, Peggi worked in the political campaign realm where she spent several election cycles coordinating winning campaigns for the Colorado Democratic Senate Caucus. Additionally, Peggi worked as the policy director for the Senate Minority Office, where she analyzed legislation. In 1997, Peggi received her JD from the University of Denver Law School and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.

Erin Goff, Lobbyist, brings extensive experience in the areas of land use, condemnation, governmental immunity, criminal justice, immigration, public finance and municipal law. Prior to joining Axiom Erin was the Senior Staff Attorney for the Colorado Municipal League where she advocated municipal policy positions before the state legislature and administrative agencies. Erin was also an Associate Attorney for Holme, Roberts & Owen LLP. Erin graduated from the University Of Denver College Of Law in May of 1999.

Tonya Benegas, Chief Financial Officer, holds the diverse elements of Axiom Strategies, Inc. together. She has extensive knowledge of the abilities and personnel at Axiom Strategies, Inc. Tonya efficiently and effectively provides a broad spectrum of services at Axiom Strategies, Inc. She works closely with clients and others, ensuring that official memoranda are appropriately disseminated and managing the Financial Department of the company. Additionally, Tonya provides all lobbyist and client registration disclosure and reporting information to the Secretary of State.

Carly Dollar, Director of Communications, works closely with our lobbyists & clients, coordinating and disseminating legislative information. Carly serves as editor of communications, writing the weekly newsletter “Following the Leaders.” She works closely with the Joint Budget Committee (JBC), following the budget throughout the legislative process. Carly also serves as the event coordinator, planning and executing special events. She received a BA in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University.
